Saskia Randt

Saskia Randt

After finishing her studies at the University of Art and Design (HfG) in Offenbach, Germany in 2009, Saskia started a daily, traditional Ashtanga practice under certified teacher Lucia Andrade. Soon after she made her first trip to Mysore, India to study under Guru R. Sharath Jois. Finding the experiences so profound, she has continued to go back almost annually. In 2016 Saskia received level 2 authorisation from Guru R. Sharath Jois and had the privilege to assist him twice since then. Before moving to Berlin, Saskia taught at Ashtanga Yoga Frankfurt, the place where her own practice began. Since living here, she has been a guest teacher for the morning Mysore program at Ashtangahouse Berlin. Her teaching depends on the ongoing experience of being a student. Daily practice, with its ups and downs, is a tool for meeting yourself on the mat every day. She tries to support practitioners on their journey by helping them to develop physical strength and flexibility and to cultivate deep and calm breathing. Saskia is deeply grateful to her teachers who guide and support her on that path.
